Protecting your privacy is our legal responsibility
By operation of a 1996 federal law (the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act, or HIPAA), we at Presbyterian Healthcare Services must protect the privacy of your "Protected Health Information" (PHI). PHI includes information that contains identifiers such as your name, social security number, address, and phone number, as well as your medical information. All Presbyterian employees and physicians are required to safeguard the privacy of your PHI. How We May Use Your Website Internet Information
We enforce security measures to protect PHI that is maintained on the website, network, software, and
applications. We may collect two types of information from visitors to our website:
Website traffic statistics including where visitor traffic comes from; how traffic flows within the website;
and browser type. We monitor traffic statistics to help us improve the website and find out what visitors
find interesting and useful.
Personal information that you provide to us (such as your name, address billing information, Health
Benefit Plan enrollment status, etc) if you fill out a form on our website. We use your personal
information to reply to your concerns we save this information as needed to keep responsible records
and handle inquiries.
We do not sell, trade, or rent personal information provided by visitors to our website to other persons,
companies, or partners.
Any sensitive information you submit through an online form is encrypted
When you submit sensitive information through an online form on our site, we encrypt it to help keep your information secure. Please make sure your web session is secure by looking for the closed padlock or an unbroken key icon that appears in the lower left or right hand corner of the browser window.
